● Brazil, the centre of world sport in four years time has already begun preparations to organize the FIFA World Cup in 2014 and the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. During the London Olympics, the world has the opportunity to know a little of how the games in Rio will be like.

All the future host cities of the games have a space in the current host city, Brazil chose one of the most beautiful cultural centers in Central London, the Somerset house on the River Thames, to organize the Casa Brasil, space where the Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympics Games in 2016, offers views over the Brazilian culture, art, architecture, contemporary design and plans for the upcoming games.

In the courtyard of Somerset house Brazilian musicians and artists present perfome daily, showing a bit of the Rio de Janeiro music. At the entrance of the exhibitions, the visitor can see a little bit in photos the landscape from the beaches of Rio, with umbrellas chairs to seat on listening to some brazilian music.

Then a series of exhibitions portray the diversity of art from all regions of the country, from crafts to contemporary art. Photos and videos also explain the good economic phase that Brazil is going through and invites international investors to better understand the form of investments to be applied in the country, such as science, agriculture, sport and tourism.

Afterwards, a large space is dedicated to exhibitions that show how will be the Olympic venues, logo and also there a official shop with products of the Rio games. In another room of the Somerset house, A parachute was installed and the visitor has the radical experience of flying over the city of Rio de Janeiro with 3D view.

The music student, Sam Brown (20), a resident of London and big fan of sports, has been to Brazil recently and was impressed with the Casa Brasil.

" Visiting Casa Brasil gave me an exciting glimpse of the vision Brasil has for it's Olympic Games in 2016. I was impressed by the exhibition which aimed to show the world the Brazil of today and the preparations they are currently going through, especially the amazing venues they are preparing. I think now is the time for Brazil to shine on the world stage, I hope the Brazilian people will get behind Rio 2016 and I am excited to see what Brazil will do.", commented Sam.

Casa Brazil is also being used for meetings, press conference to Brazilian athletes medalist in London 2012 .

Most employees who work in the center are Brazilians who speak English and Portuguese, which enables Brazilians and other nations to attend the place .

The total investment in the project of the establishment is R $23,150,000 (USD 11,000,000) and will remain open until the end of the the Paralympics.
