After receiving her suspension letter, the France-based Celine Eko made public her own press release reminding the fans of the club that she remains the club's board chair and any action taken by the wise committee is null and void and goes against the texts of the club.
Trouble has been shooting in Cameroon's most titled club since October 2011 when Celine Eko was made board chair. She later fired the club's emblematic director general and former captain Louis Marie Ondoua and brought in Ebode Roger whom they say is her stooge. But they soon fell out of favour when Mr. Ebode fired the team's coach Soulemanou Aboubacar for poor results without the consent of the board chair. After two play days, coach Aboubacar was rehabilitated and his deputy Louis Paul Mfede who had earlier taken over was chased from the club.
All these had its toll on the club that ended the championship on the 8th position, just five points above the relegation zone.
In the meantime, the wise committee has apointed Henri Mvondo Mbede as the interim board chair and given the responsibility of organising an elective general assembly as soon as possible.
