• Soccer ambiance among Cameroon players for the past weekend was impressive, but full of mixed feelings. Sebastien Bassong's transformation from a defender to an offensive player for the second consecutive time within a week made news in the soccer stadiums in England, while Mbia had a serious injury which sent cold waves running down the spine of Cameroon football fans.

The 14th day of play in the Spanish division one league La Liga saw Málaga CF of Idris Carlos Kameni and Fabrice Olinga (both on reserve) humbled 0 to 1 by Getafe CF last Saturday in Getafe. FC Barcelona of Alex Song (came on at the 75th minute) punished Athletic Bilbao five times (5-1) to continue its traditional victory spree with Lionel Messi scoring twice, Fábregas, Piqué and Correia sealing the deal.
Olympique Marseille of Nicolas Nkoulou celebrated the 15th day of play with their 2-1 victory over Stade Brest. Thanks to A. Ayew and Diawara's curtain raiser that brought them the fortune. Meanwhile, Montpellier HSC of Henri Bedimo (on reserve) was beaten by current league leaders Olympique Lyon by 1-0. Landry Nguemo's absence from the line up of Girondins de Bordeaux caused no major harm to them as they mananged to pull a 2-2 tie against FC Sochaux.
Valenciennes of Aboubakar Vincent (on reserve) and Gaetang Bong defeated Stade de Reims last Saturday December 1by 1-0, while Jean II Makoun's mesmerizing performance at the offensive midfield and Jean Armel Kana-Biyik's resistance at the defense of Rennes played a great role in sealing their 3-2 victory against ES Troyes AC. AS Nancy of Ndy Assembé and Alo'o Efoulou (came on at the 83rd minute) continued their stalemate performance following their 1-1 tie with Évian Thonon Gaillard FC as they persistently find solace at the bottom of the league table since the beginning of the league season.
Ajax Amsterdam of Eyong Enow (on reserve) continued its progressive performance on the 15th day of play in the Netherlands division one league, as they imposed a 3-1 defeat against PSV Eindoven to move to secure their comfortable position among the best 5 teams of the Dutch league. FC Groningen imposed a 2-0 spanking against Heracles Almelo of Willy Overtoom.
The German Division 1 League (Bundesliga) which entered its 15th day of play saw Schalke 04 of Jöel Matip negotiating a 1-1 draw against Borussia M'gladbach at home. The Russian Premier League which entered its 18th day of play last Friday November 30, 2012, saw Benoit Angbwa's FK Rostov sanctioned Krylya Sovetov Samara by 2-0, with Angbwa's prolific performance at the offense right-out Also, Samuel Eto'o's performance in Anzhi Makhachkala reached fever pitch when he master-minded all the incursions upfront that saw Traoré and Boussoufa succeeded in curling the ball into the net twice to humiliate visiting CSKA Moscow by a 2-0 defeat that saw them bounce back as the league leaders.
The Turkish Süper Lig also entered its 14th day of play this weekend. Gaziantepspor of Giles Augustin Binya separated in a 1-1 tie against Galatasaray of Dany Nounkeu.
Büyüksehir Spor of Archille Webo subdued Sivasspor by a 2 nil spanking.
In Portugal, the Portuguese Super Liga was on a recess this past weekend. The 11th day of play will be played this coming weekend.
