• While the African Nation's Cup jamboree continue to keep football lovers busy making forecast on the different games, Indomitable Lions abroad recorded mediocre performance from their club participation.

The French division one league entered its 22nd day of play last Friday January 25th 2013 with Valenciennes of Aboubakar Vincent (came off at the 68th minute) and Gaetang Bong being humiliated 0 to 2 by visiting Olympique Lyon. At Stade de la Route de Lorient in Rennes last Saturday January 26th 2013, Rennes Football Club of Jean II Makoun and Jean Armel Kana-Biyik fought hard to pull back a 2-2 draw against visiting Olympique Marseille of Nicolas NKoulou.

On the same day, Montpellier HSC of Henri Bedimo defeated FC Sochaux by 2-0. The creeping team of ligue 1, AS Nancy of Ndy Assembé (on reserve), Moukandjo and Alo'o Efoulou surprisingly defeated FC Lorient by 2-1. Alo'o Efoulou's curtain raiser at the 36th minute of the first half opened the flood gate of their victory. Aurelien Chedjou contributed to the defeat of his team Lille OSC at the 68th minute through an own goal which gave a zero to 1 victory to Paris Saint-Germain at their own backyard.
The Netherland division one league entered its 20th day of play this weekend with Heracles Almelo of Willy Overtoom being humiliated 1 goal to 5 at home by visiting PSV Eindhoven. Meanwhile, Vitesse Arnhem defeated Ajax Amsterdam of Eyong Enow (on the reserve) by 3 goals to 2.
In Portugal, Vitória Setúbal of Albert Meyon Ze was seriously humiliated 0-3 at home by visiting FC Porto.
In German Bundesliga, FC Augsburg pulled a virgin draw (0-0) against visiting Schalke 04 of Jöel Matip on the 19th day of play.
In Spanish La Liga, FC Barcelona of Alex Song (came on at the 74th minute) thrilled its fans at Camp Nou on the 21st day of play by punishing Osasuna on a 5-1 defeat resulting from four personal mesmerizing actions from magical Leonard Messi at the 11th, 28th, 56th and 58th minutes respectively. Pedro scored the 3rd goal at the 40th minute which contributed to the heavy defeat of their visitors. On their outing, Málaga CF of Idris Carlos Kameni (on reserve) and Fabrice Olinga (not in the line-up) defeated RCD Mallorca by 3 goals to 2.
The English premier league will enter its 24th day of play next Tuesday January 29th and Wednesday January 30th 2013. Queens Park Rangers (QPR) of Stephane Mbia will be juggling it out with one of the English Premier League giant Manchester City on Tuesday January 29th 2013. Norwich City of Sebastien Bassong will also be having a hotly contested encounter against Tottenham Hotspur of Benoit Assou Ekotto on Wednesday January 30th 2013.
